Marcy Polanco is a highly driven public relations and communications executive with a diverse background in brand strategy, television publicity and content development, event management, crisis communications, marketing and social media. Marcy is an artful storyteller who combines her love of writing, TV, and music with her background in event production and communications.
A talented and innovative trailblazer, Marcy has extensive relationships with journalists, producers, influencers, executives and talent across the media industry; making her one of the most well-respected PR executives in the industry. Marcy created and executed the first ‘social media room’ at a major awards show which turned out to be a lucrative partnership with the Ford Motor Company.
Marcy has worked with some of the largest businesses and brands including Comcast, Essence, Diageo, The Shade Room, Niagara University, WETV, Dallas BBQ, Strategic Heights Media, and actor/comedian Vince Swann. She has spearheaded public relations campaigns for Essence’s 2018 “Black Women in Hollywood Awards,” Comcast / Xfinity Multicultural Division, all of BET’s music specials and awards shows, including “BET Awards,” “Hip Hop Awards,” BET Experience and has also managed publicity for Nickelodeon’s wildly-popular “Dora the Explorer,” and many more. Marcy’s thoughtful and brings a tailored approach to communications campaigns have built powerful narratives in the press for brands.
Marcy began her career in PR after graduating from LeMoyne College with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. She resides in NYC with her daughter.
